Is it worth submitting modern coins for grading?

I have a few Silver Eagle coins that are modern and already graded "MS70." Though, I believe they are either not MS70 just by looking at them and reading about the VERY strict guidelines for a coin to be graded 70, or not worth more than you can buy ungraded based on articles about PCGS and NGC "disapproving" of modern coin slabbing. I also have some modern world coins ie: the 2009 silver chines Panda, and a few 2009 Lincoln dollar coins that I would like to get graded. So, what is worth grading and what is worth buying already graded?

In my opinion one is waisting their money having modern coins graded. Most proof coins from modern proof sets grade PR-69 anyway and a PR-70 coin is also becoming common. Right now it is a fad and it is starting to slow down. PR-70 coins are coming down in price for their are lots of them and people have found they have actually lost money. As for MS-69 & MS-70 coins they maybe a little rarer but are still being hyped and that will end also. If you look at the big dealer ads in Coin World and Numismatic News one can find high grade slabbed coins for around the slabbing fee. One has to wonder about so called professional graded coins, when ads show up for MS-65 wheat cents for $10 each. That is less than the slabbing fee and MS-65 is a good grade for a wheat cent. Also on modern commemorative coins some dealers have high grade slabbed ones for the same price or a couple of dollars more than the non graded one. A slabbed coin graded by a grading service is still some ones opinion. You always buy the coin not the slab.
