Scrap Gold.. How to figure value?

How do I figure the value of scrap gold? I need to know the price per gram. Thank you!

It should be published in the paper in the financial section. It varies from day to day, and from country to country, of course. I sold a lot of old broken bits several months ago (many jewellers will buy it) and got about £70 ($140) for it. They have to buy it at that day's official price. In the UK it will go back, I think, to the Bank of England, if bought officially like that.
